    Classic reborn

    In a former industrial campus along Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis housing one of the largest Coca-Cola bottling factories in the world, a new mixed-use site known as Bottleworks District recently opened and has set down roots as a new hospitality and entertainment epicenter. The district, a nearly $300 million, 12-acre transformative initiative, is the largest private development of its kind in Indiana, and it encompasses the city’s first food hall, a boutique hotel, residential space, and more than 300,000 square-feet in flexible office space and retail space.     The International Interior Design Association’s eighth annual IIDA Healthcare Design Awards continue to honor and celebrate the originality and excellence of current designs shaping interior healthcare spaces around the world.  Beside those based in the southern and eastern United States, this year’s winning firms and projects—announced in late September—also bring the Great Lakes region into the spotlight.  “With this annual competition, we witness the latest innovation and transformation within the healthcare design world,” said Cheryl S.     A creative process

    An Indianapolis-based designer has taken her love of design from fashion to interiors in a region rich with historical architecture.   Located less than five miles north of downtown Indianapolis, homes and gardens throughout the Meridian-Kessler residential neighborhood have opened their doors each summer to welcome visitors inside to view great design and architecture. The Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association has hosted the Home & Garden Tour since 1973, and this year’s tour featured the remodeled home of local Designer Tiffany Skilling of Tiffany Skilling Interiors Co. The event is intended to promote the history and unique architecture in the neighborhood, while also serving as a fundraising tool for local community initiatives.…
