On Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, Virginia Tile held a grand opening gala in celebration of its new flagship location in Troy, Michigan. The milestone event was attended by more than 200 industry representatives and supporters from across the country to witness the company’s ribbon cutting ceremony, featuring live entertainment, refreshments, and signature cocktails.
Sunil Palakodati, chief executive officer at Virginia Tile, oversaw the official ribbon cutting, accompanied by Tara Tomcsik-Husak, president and chief executive officer at the Troy Chamber of Commerce; Chad Treuthart, vice president of residential sales and showrooms at Virginia Tile; Brian Mark, former owner of RBC Tile & Stone and current board member; Ethan Baker, mayor of Troy; and Bill Stephenson Sr., former owner of Virginia Tile and current board member.
To welcome the premier provider to the community, Virginia Tile was presented with the Troy Chamber of Commerce’s member plaque, as well as a certification from the city of Troy, during the ceremony.
“Virginia Tile’s new flagship location is the perfect addition to the Troy community and the Troy Chamber,” stated Tomcsik-Husak in the press release. “I was in complete awe of the showroom’s beauty, as it not only helps to build creative ideas that can be incorporated into your home or business, but it also showcases the quality of their products and services. It’s one of the reasons that I personally chose their products for my own home.”
The company’s newest location in Troy is now open, the showroom offering a premium tile and stone experience to customers in the local area with large format tiles, a customer friendly pick-up area, a fully stocked warehouse, and more inside their “all-in-one” space.

Having Mr. Mark and Mr. Stephenson, along with the new executive team, kick off this new chapter for Virginia Tile made this a memorable event,” said Sean Cilona, director of product and marketing at Virginia Tile Company.
