Humboldt GMT

Designed for the everyday adventurer, the Humboldt GMT is the latest release in Oak & Oscar LLC’s line of Humboldt watches. Its slick design, highly adjustable bracelet, and advanced technology makes this watch a fit for multiple lifestyles and settings. An elevated take on the Humboldt 12-hour, this watch features a GMT complication and 24-hour bezel, allowing its user to keep track of three time zones at once.

Incorporating a new anti-shock and anti-magnetic enclosure, and internal systems like a Faraday cage and rubber stabilizer, the Humboldt GMT is designed to neutralize the electromagnetic fields people regularly encounter, as well as reduce the rate of impact and rebound from bumps and extreme motion. The watch also offers the durability of 20 ATM of water resistance, or up to 200 meters, and is powered by the Swiss-made Sellita SW330, which combines time-tested dependability and accuracy.

It also features a quick-set adjustment for the independent set of the 24-hour hand for tracking multiple time zones, a power reserve of 56 hours, a quick-set date, 25 jewels, and the iconic 4-star rotor within a solid caseback. Humboldt GMT is available in a brushed stainless steel 40 mm case with color choices of black, navy or white paired with pops of orange. Its hand and lumed bezel pip are inspired by Oak & Oscar’s founder, Chase Fancher, and his childhood love of arrowheads and stone tools, and has become an identifying feature of the brand. The watch design also incorporates high contrast features and Super-LumiNova to improve legibility in darker spaces.

The Humboldt GMT’s stainless-steel bracelet features a fully articulated link design tapering from the 20 mm solid end links to the newly designed 16 mm quick-adjust clasp, for a comfortable fit and eliminate the need for additional tools for adjustment. The watch can also be purchased with a leather strap, rather than the stainless-steel bracelet. Each Humboldt GMT also includes nylon straps made of a rugged but soft, tightly woven nylon material that features orange stitching, complementing the orange elements on the watch face.

Oak & Oscar is an independent watch company based in Chicago, founded by Chase Fancher in 2015. The business is driven by three guiding principles: to make no little plans, the belief that good people make great products, and that the details always make the design.
